Seems abfab to me. Can you send me a sample, to get my puppy used to this method of toothbrushing.
Are they expensive? And is it possible to buy them on stock . Do I use e fresh one every day and need a seperate one for every dog in the kennal, or can I use one for all and for a longer period of time?

This is exactly what every pet owner should do when evaluating their particular pet. Get quotes, look at all the things that are important to you in a plan, and evaluate thoroughly. Thanks for going through this example and showing us how it’s done.

Dr. Jim, I appreciate your having covered pet health insurance — more people need to know about it — and especially VPI customers! I’ve done my own research and I have two comments: (a) yes, Trupanion has a great plan, but you’ve forgotten that they don’t pay for exam fees! Adds up. Also, they don’t cover hip dysplasia if you enroll dog at 1yo+; and (b) these days you just can’t do a comparison and not include Petplan & Embrace. They are Trupanion’s TRUE competition, not the others.

I use petplan and they have a covered for life policy which means you can keep claiming for the same illness or injury. I pay £27 a month for a greyhound. They’ve paid up twice for me within about 3-4 weeks of the form going in.

Your breed is what insurance companies call a ‘select breed’ which means that insurance is expensive when compared to other breeds

for example my dog who is also a ‘select breed’ at seven years old the insurance premium is £64 per month with an excess for each condition being £105 plus £20% of the bill

There are very few lifetime plans most insurance companies exclude a condition which you have claimed for the following year

Pet Plan are good but they are expensive – an alternative is saving the money in a bank account for your dog

The premium may start off reasonable but will increase every year and there will be a large increase when your dog is seven years old
